30 Days – Day 28: Home Contents

28 Mar

For insurance purposes it is advised to have photographs and a video walk through of your home to show the contents, I think this is a very great thing to have on hand as a back up. So take out those cameras/video cameras and let us begin!

30 Days – Day 22 and Day 23: Kids room and House Book

23 Mar

To be honest I don’t see the difference of the house book and family binder, as is this is information I would keep in my family binder, so instead I’ve compiled all the required information and placed it into my Family Binder.

I’m tackling the kids room today as we speak, I will post pictures when I’ve completed it!

30 Days – Day 21: Safe

21 Mar

We have 1 more week to go! Can you imagine we’ve come this far? If you’ve been following along, at this point you probably feel a huge load lifted off of your shoulders, I know I do!

It is very refreshing to look at our home now and see how clear and clean it is! It’s amazing!

Today we’re safe guarding everything in our household with the use of a safe so turn to page 24, to see what we need to gather to store and ensure that it is protected.

I have to tell you one thing, my family’s house burnt down on 2nd January, 2011 and if it’s one thing I learned though a safe may be great to keep on site, I believe if you can get a safety deposit box that is truly ideal. However, in my case though I don’t have a safe, I have all these materials kept safely in a box that I can exit the house with if there were ever an emergency. This is assuming I’m home when this emergency occurs, but it makes me feel a little bit more secure that I’ve at least taken this measure.

30 Days – Day 20: Computer

20 Mar

Ah a well deserved break after some strenuous work! I have on my to do list for a few weeks now to organize my hard drive, so I’m really happy to get a ‘day’ to do this, though for me it’s an ongoing project and certainly can’t be finished in a day. I have to sort through all of the photos and start categorizing them better so that I can go through them easily and just smile! 🙂

I’ve been utilizing online storage as well for ‘backup’ so I’m trying to first sort the external hard drive, then back up online so that I have extra copies in case of!

Hotmail is great, as you get an online ‘sky drive’ to save 25GB worth of files which is A LOT. It doesn’t cover movies though, which I really need to find some way to store as it’s eating away at space on my hard drive!

Turn to page 23 , turn to this page to get some tips for tackling your computer!
